NOMINATED Best New Writing for the Australian Stage
NOMINATED Best Independent Female Performer
2009 Green Room Awards

This small play with a big heart is a trip down memory lane. Inspired by true stories, The Weather and Your Health has toured extensively throughout regional and metropolitan Australia, and is very popular with audiences of all ages.

The performance itself is just one part of your booking. Equally important is the raffle and post-show supper, where the actors mingle with the audience, and the community is given an opportunity to tell their own stories, share memories, and write responses in the famous visitors book! The full show experience should be a community-focused, fun night out for everyone. Visit Foyer Talk to hear what our audiences are saying.

Suitable for all ages, The Weather and Your Health appeals to a wide audience demographic due to its universal themes – family, country life, generosity and optimism. Those of an older generation can relate to the stories but, at the same time, younger audiences relate to the characters and themes being presented. Relying heavily on the actors and techniques of story theatre, The Weather and Your Health is extremely adaptable. The following information is provided as a guide to presenters wishing to book The Weather and Your Health. The technical requirements below are geared at performing arts centres, but please note that the production is very minimal and is also able to be performed in community halls and alternative venues with little or no theatre facilities.

The Weather and Your Health also works well when performed in conjunction with workshops. Why not see if Bethany is available to conduct a workshop with members of your community? Her 1.5 hr workshops are tailored to suit both school and mature-aged students.
